Off to try out her new skills for Open Mic tonight! That is, if the weather allows us to leave.. Hope you enjoy 🙂
I know it’s lots of pictures..but these are posted for family who cannot see her in person. In case you missed the title, Evangeline is now officially 23 months old. She continues to be a constant joy and bright light in our family. The kids adore her, and there are no words to express how much my husband and I love this baby.
At this age, the finger up the nose is comedic gold. She laughs with her entire body. The guitar is her favorite instrument (good..we have a couple of those lying around), and books and puzzles are her favorite pastime.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the hair…some is in her eyes, and the back is quite long and curly. The sides have not grown in yet. Her eyes continue to take on a silver shine, and I think that will be the permanent color. It’s such a contrast from the other kids. We have one child with brown eyes (the boy), hazel green (Raven), ice-blue (Lenore), and the silver belongs to the baby.
We are so blessed. Thanks for stopping by.
We had some time to kill this morning and Lenore found a new ‘favorite thing’. This is a little too much for her right now, but it was fun to see the crowd gather as she began to play some Jimmy Hendrix and Queen. Go girl. 😉
So yesterday Lenore decided to sit down and pick apart the song, “She Talks To Angels” by ‘The Black Crowes’ by ear. It was fun to watch her listen to the song and then play what she heard. I filmed a quick snippet of the action.
She did other things throughout the day: played with the dog, hung out with her sister, watched Danny Phantom. But every now and then she would pick up the guitar and try to figure out more of the song. Songs are like puzzles for Lenore. She enjoys picking them apart and learning as she goes. So this is what she had by the end of the day.
Sure it’s clunky and slow right now, but give her some time. She hopes to get it together with the lyrics so she can play it at her upcoming Open Mic performance. Wish her luck!
