Our little musician had another wonderful time at Open Mic. This time she got to be onstage with several adults. It was quite the learning experience. Some day she would love to be part of a band of kids her age, but these seasoned musicians are wonderful with her. In the past two weeks, we think we have found a reliable teacher too!

Let me explain “reliable”….

When Lenore was six, we hired a teenage boy to give her some private lessons at the house. He was polite and nice enough…but his heart was not into it. He bailed on her after 2 lessons.  She has been learning off of YouTube lessons ever since.

But! We have recently found a nice teen girl who plays lead guitar in a couple of bands. She is very talented, and Lenore really liked talking with her. I can’t wait for the lessons to begin, because Lenore can learn so much. Our girl can learn from anyone, but it’s so nice to have a girl closer to her age as an instructor. There are plenty of wonderful adult teachers around here, but we would rather give the money to a kiddo working toward her musical dream.

It’s so much fun to watch Lenore improve with each passing performance. She’s really getting good. 🙂
